LEARN MORE
We combine leading-edge capabilities in management and technology with a seasoned understanding of our clients’ missions. Founded in 1980 as Robbins Gioia, our firm was an early innovator in program management and a model for many federal contractor firms that followed.
Over the years, we’ve evolved and expanded our offerings to become the RG our clients know today – delivering purpose-built solutions to diverse challenges in business and government, and helping clients achieve lasting, visible success on every mission scale.
THE RG LEGACY
In 1980, RG founders General Jack Robbins and Colonel John Gioia retired from the United States Air Force. They decided the best way to continue serving their country was to create the first firm specializing in program management services for the federal government. The two founded a company dedicated to helping clients avoid common sources of failure in implementing major programs.
This vision – enhanced over the years with services in legacy systems modernization, innovation and technology transfer, production planning and control, and intelligence-based cybersecurity – has produced consistently superior results for public- and private-sector clients. Today, our experts bring proven methodologies, time-tested tools, and a fresh perspective to meet distinct challenges in government and industry. Headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, RG continues to build responsive, tailored solutions to help clients achieve their unique missions and business goals.
RG TODAY
In 2019, RG became a portfolio company of Acorn Growth Companies. Acorn Growth Companies is a middle market private equity firm focused exclusively on Aerospace, Defense and Intelligence. Acorn invests solely in operating companies that strive to enhance global mobility and protect national interests. Acorn has a formidable reputation in the industry and is recognized for its deep understanding of the aerospace & defense markets, with proprietary access to the best companies within these sectors.
